Saif Ali Khan played the role of Mohnish Bahl and Salman Khan’s younger brother in the film. During the shooting of this film, Saif was always upset due to his personal problems, which affected the shoot. In an interview, director Sooraj Barjatya talked about the shooting. He said- Saif was always under stress at that time. He did not sleep the whole night during the shooting of the song Sunoji Dulhan.

The director further said- During the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain, there was a lot of turmoil going on in Saif’s life, due to which he used to remain upset. During the shooting of the song Suno Ji Dulhan, he was taking a lot of retakes. He did not sleep the whole night. He was thinking about how to portray the character correctly. When I came to know about this, I talked to his first wife. I advised Amrita Singh to give sleeping pills to her husband. Amrita followed her advice and gave sleeping pills to Saif without telling him. This helped Saif to shoot the next day.
Suraj further said- The next day a lot of shots were arranged and he did all of them. He even shot the song in one take. Everyone was shocked to see that he gave such a good shot.
Let us tell you that Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan got married in 1991. The couple separated in 2004. Saif and Amrita have two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. Amrita has raised both of them alone. While Amrita did not remarry after her divorce from Saif, Saif married Kareena Kapoor in 2016. They also have two children.
